Medusa Girl-Green Viperr – WeArtDoing – DSDC SHOP

【Product Background Description】
Yoshioka (よしおか) is a Japanese illustrator known for her softly muted take on dark fairy tales.
Her palette feels gentle and restrained, yet beneath the surface lies a quiet tension that lingers.

Drawing from classic fairy-tale imagery, she reinterprets familiar symbols through her own lens.
The sweetness becomes an entry point, leading viewers toward something sharper, more unsettling, and quietly profound.

In her approach, entire worlds are distilled into intimate compositions—like self-contained stages.
Nothing shouts, yet everything holds weight. As she once said, “I draw pictures. I love the world of fairy tales.”

The Medusa Girl created for this collaboration continues that aesthetic language.
She stands calmly at the center, her serpent hair resting like a crown she was born with, her gaze steady and composed.
In contrast, an ice cream has slipped from her hand—an almost trivial accident. Danger and innocence exist in the same breath.
Decorative, fairy-tale details soften the frame, while something sharper moves quietly beneath.

Within this enclosed little stage, the serpents’ gaze becomes the silent narrator—and in that single suspended moment, the story begins.
